NJDOC Documentary: Good Training

The New Jersey Department of Corrections released its newest film, “Good Training.”

The NJDOC documentary, filmed and developed by Deputy Director of Communications Chris Carden, follows Michael Drybread, a war veteran and correctional police officer, as he confronts PTSD through endurance challenges while mentoring recruits on surviving the job. When fellow officer Daniel Kadaraitis is assaulted, the film shifts focus to the lasting impact of trauma and the vital role of peer support.

Through raw and honest accounts, Good Training shows that trauma is personal, but resilience grows through connection—and true strength comes from the courage to speak up and find a way forward together.

The film also is available for viewing and SHARING on the NJCOC’S YouTube page.
